The upcoming 72nd edition of the annual Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show will return on President’s Day Weekend, February 14-18, 2013 for five days of nautical fun. This colossal event annually welcomes over 100,000 boating enthusiasts from all over the world, coming to explore the best of boating and to generate big business in Florida and for the U.S. recreational boating industry.

As Miami’s premier boating event, the 2013 show delivers attendees an all-access pass to discover the boating lifestyle and a chance to shop the newest boats and marine accessories. An annual tradition for new and seasoned boaters, the Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show provides deals on hundreds of boats, gear and accessories from the region’s premier dealers and retailers, interactive courses covering all-things boating, and attractions for all ages.

Highlights at the 2013 Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show include:

– The show features more than 2,000 local, national and international companies showcasing more than 3,000 of the newest boats, many making their world debuts, plus thousands of new gadgets, engines, gear and marine accessories. Bear Grylls, Star of Discovery Channel’s Emmy-nominated Man vs. Wild – Bear is making an exclusive first-time appearance at the boat show to meet with fans and show visitors and announce the launch of his new range of extreme RIBS (Rigid Inflatable Boats) on Thursday, Feb. 14 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Tred Barta, fishing & outdoor legend – The star of The Best and Worst of Tred Barta on NBC Sports Outdoors will be at the Sea Isle Marina to meet fans and foes, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Meet History Channel/A&E’s Shark Wranglers – Chris Fischer, Expedition Leader and Captains Brett McBride and Jody Whitworth of OCEARCH, who have been featured on HISTORY/A&E’s Shark Wranglers, will share firsthand how they catch, tag, study and release great white sharks! They will be speaking in the Big Game Room on Thursday at 4:15pm; and on Saturday at 5:00pm in the Convention Center to meet fans, take photos and sign autographs.
Ryan Hunter-Reay, 2012 Indy Car Series Champion – Ryan will be signing autographs on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Honda Marin Booth starting at 2:00 p.m., and on Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Garmin Booth starting at 2:00 p.m.

Cruiser’s Outpost Cruiser’s Party – Join the party Saturday, Feb. 16 at 6:00 p.m. for an evening of fun hosted by Cruiser’s Outpost with live music by Eric Stone, free beer & pizza. Cruiser’s Outpost is a new boating lifestyle website and quarterly magazine, from the former LATS & ATTS group.
Vacation Basin at Strictly Sail Miami – Stop by to learn about some of the most exotic charter destinations in the world. Adults (16 and older): $20
Five-day adult pass (Good all five days of the show): $85
Two-day adult pass (valid Feb. 14-18): $35
Youth 15 and under get in FREE (must be accompanied by an adult)

One ticket good for all sites (including free access to shuttle bus & water taxi)

Visitors can take advantage of $5 parking when theu arrive before 9:30am ($10 from 9:30am until closing) to Sea Isle Marina. They can ride the FREE Miami Trolley from the Convention Center to the New Yacht & Power Boat Show at Sea Isle Marina or Strictly Sail Miami at Miamarina at Bayside; or take the complimentary water taxi to and from the show’s in-water locations.
