The 38 metre AeroCruiser, Project 116, is an Espen Oeino 50 knot jet-driven superyacht that will launch for its initial sea trials in Denmark soon.
MarQuip has a team of design and engineering specialists in exhaust systems and their in- house design engineers have worked closely with the technicians at Danish Yachts to ensure compatibility and optimum performance in this 38 metre AeroCruiser.
MarQuip is well known in the superyacht industry for the design and construction of custom-built exhaust systems. This co-operation with Danish Yachts to deliver the complete underwater exhaust system for Project 116, will further enhance the AeroCruisers’ reputation as the fastest superyachts in their class. Both companies have the most stringent standards of build quality and are committed to respecting the environment at each stage of construction and throughout the life of each vessel.
The exhaust system that the MarQuip engineers designed for Danish Yachts had to meet with their exacting performance demands at high speeds. The underwater scoop, as an integrated part of the total backpressure control was optimised for reduced drag and the system has been designed for efficient exhaust gas cooling and minimum vibration. Further developments are being forged in the area of emissions controls
