The Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX 2011) held immediately prior to Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show attracted delegates from the USA, UK, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, China, NZ, Thailand, Ireland and across all states of Australia.
The focus of the conference was to highlight the issues facing the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export sector and to profile Australia and the Asia Pacific region as an idyllic cruising and luxury yacht charter destination for Superyachts and an extremely attractive alternative to traditional cruising grounds.

The Hon Peta-Kaye Croft, Parliamentary Secretary Assisting the Premier on the Gold Coast launched the Queensland Superyacht portal superyachtsqueensland.com at the Australia Superyacht and Marine Export Conference on Tuesday 17 May. She was enthusiastic about the portal which will provide excellent exposure for the serious iconic attractions that Queensland offers.
This is a significant step forward for the Queensland Superyacht Sector. The portal provides a one stop shop for Captains and Owners that want to cruise in Queensland. It also highlights the Queensland Superyacht sector capacity and capability for Superyacht maintenance and refits.
The Queensland Government and Gold Coast City Council were strong supporters of the Australia Superyacht and Marine Export Conference.
