Yesterday, January 13, 2014, saw the Westrec Marinas’ Vice President Jim Frye announce that effective immediately, Travis Staats has been promoted to the role of Real Estate Manager at the Camachee Island Company (CIC), situated in St. Augustine, a lovely Florida yacht charter destination. As such, Staats is responsible for managing the commercial and retail tenants at the marina as well as the water plant and overall infrastructure on the island.
Travis has worked at the Camachee Cover Yacht Harbor Marina and been a part of the leadership team for over nine years. He has a degree in Sports Management from Flagler College and holds a State of Florida Class “C” Operator License in Drinking Water Plant Management. He has also been an entrepreneur in property management services. His experience is a great asset in building the community of businesses supporting the marina and spearheading a revitalization of the property’s infrastructure.
“The Camachee management team is working hard to upgrade and renew the facilities while delivering on the excellent customer service that has been a hallmark of the Camachee Island philosophy for many years,” says Frye. “Travis’s experience and skill set are well-suited to this new position at Camachee.”
Westrec Marina Management has been working with the staff at Camachee Island assisting in the management transition. “We’re enjoying the renewal of this landmark marina; the creation of this new focus area is fundamental in delivering a quality product and experience to the patrons of the Camachee Island business community. Travis will lead this revitalization,” says Frye.

Staats is also responsible for managing the day-to-day infrastructure activities at Camachee Island.
