Originally launched by Heesen Yachts in 2001, the 37,70m all-aluminium motor yacht AlumerciA underwent a major refit last year, managed by her captain and Vripack. A winner of the World Superyacht Award 2015 in the ‘Refitted Yacht’ category, luxury yacht AlumerciA has undergone a complete transformation of the interior design, in addition to many significant changes to her exterior.
The owner of superyacht AlumerciA comments: “When I first saw her in Monaco yacht show 2013, many ideas came up to refit her and transforming her into a Med cruiser vessel look. We started the refit project in mid March 2014 and finished in 100 days. In an era where time is my ultimate luxury this was of great importance to me”.
The captain of AlumerciA yacht was responsible for all aspects on the work-shop-floor and Vripack for the design, naval architecture and engineering. The refit was performed in just three months.
During the refit, the car-drawer, which held a custom Toyota in the aft ship, was replaced by a beach club with an innovative passarelle. The aft tender garage on the bridge deck was dismantled and replaced by a complete open party deck, including a DJ turntable bar. The fly bridge deck was re-arranged and almost extended with 30 m2 so that the Jacuzzi now is the central hang out and sunbathing can be done in open air and full privacy.
The main foundation of the interior’s elements were maintained, however, all covers, doors, floors and ceilings were upgraded. The bridge got a complete make-over fitting a beautiful interior in terms of materials, art pieces, technology, as well as quality.
“AlumerciA has a timeless design and I think she’s more elegant than ever”, her owner concludes.
