52m/170ft sailing yacht METEOR has returned to the Royal Huisman shipyard to complete her 10-year Lloyd’s survey along with general maintenance and a refit.
Built in 2008 with an aluminum hull to a design by John G. Alden, she is a common sight at regattas and has won three times, the first in 2009 at the St Barths Bucket, with class honors at the 2014 Newport Bucket and more recently at the 2017 Candy Store Cup.
Following her refit, sailing yacht METEOR is expected to return to the charter market priced currently at $126,000-$150,000 per week plus expenses. Among her amenities is a choice selection of water toys with air-conditioned interiors and wi-fi available. The interiors are paneled with Swetania mahogany for classic surroundings with the modern benefit of expansive skylights to truly bring the living spaces to life.
