Yesterday, March 4, 2014, saw the re-launch of sailing yacht Destination, originally built by Alloy Yachts to a design by Dubois Naval Architects. After six months ashore, the 41-metre superyacht Destination will continue her refit in the water. She represents one of the most complete refits that has been performed at STP this winter and is one of 12 yachts measuring over 40 metres in length that are currently undergoing a major refit at the yard.
The refit of luxury yacht Destination comprised repainting her whole hull and superstructure; repainting her mast and rebuilding her rig; changing the teak of her deck; and upgrading various on-board electronic systems. A comprehensive mechanical refit was also carried out. Mallorcan companies including Nautipaints, Modesty, RSB Rigging and Undercovers are taking part in this complex refit which, from today onwards, is continuing in the water.
The remarkable feature of the 41 m LOA, 8.5 m beam Dubois sailing yacht Destination, built by Alloy Yachts International and sailing with a Cayman Islands flag, is her stability when plying through the water. Her interior woodwork is mahogany, and her cabins are of a size only seen in big yachts.
