Italian shipyard Riva has launched their newest hull, the 50m luxury motor yacht FIFTY, in a private ceremony in Ancona, Italy. FIFTY is the second hull in Riva’s 50 Metri line, and features exterior and interior design from a collaboration of Officina Italiana Design and Riva’s Product Strategy Committee, led by Mr. Piero Ferrari.
The stunning vessel is sure to stand out in any port, with clean, strong lines creating a masculine but elegant shape. This is enhanced by the unique hull colour chosen – a blue-tinged, shark grey. She was built in celebration of the Caravelle and Atlantic series motor yachts of the 1960s and 70s, but with all the modern technology and comforts one could want. At 50m long and with a maximum beam of 9m, she offers plenty of living space across her three decks, both inside and out.
Inside, every detail has been carefully considered in line with a brief that champions comfortable cruising, attention to detail, and ‘a new vision of life at sea.’ She is styled in a stunning collection of mahogany, steel and glass, and can accommodate 12 guests over 6 cabins, with additional capacity for a crew of 9.
“Riva M/Y ‘Fifty’ is the demonstration that we Italians know how to imagine and realise masterpieces like no one else in the world. And at this difficult time, my thanks goes to everyone whose skills and efforts have helped build this magnificent ship.” – said Ferretti Group (Riva’s parent company) CEO Alberto Galassi. – “Once upon a time, the expression ‘written on water’ was used to describe actions that have a fleeting impact. But what we have written on the water today in Ancona is another unforgettable and glorious page in Riva’s history. My recommendation for those in search of great emotions is to take a look at this new Riva and the breathtaking way she shines with style, legend and innovation, all thanks to the talent and expertise of the workers involved.”
