Italian shipyard Riva has announced the launch open yacht LIGHTNING, the first luxury yacht to come out of the shipyard since the end of lockdown and the first new model of 2020.

The first hull in the 88 Folgore model was launched in the 25th of May at the La Spezia facility. Luxury yacht LIGHTNING features a sporty and svelte exterior inspired by the automotive industry. She is a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, Product Strategy Committee and the Ferretti Engineering Group Department.
Innovative features of the model include a tender garage that has two deployment options: Parallel with the waterline to create a 6m2/64.6ft2 swim platform, or submerged for the tender to launch and return to home base.
The cockpit above covers an area of 22m2/236.8ft2 and provides a bar with an electrically opening marble top for efficient service to the sizeable sofa area.

The glass hardtop covering the superstructure can be tilted to the stern or bow when opened, allowing in the fresh maritime air while cruising or at anchor.
The interiors are completed in top quality wood, steel, glass and marble, and there are three possible layouts for the Master suite. The VIP stateroom is placed within the bow, and there are two double cabins to sleep a total of eight guests.
