While the 27´ day cruiser yacht Riva Iseo has been shown at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam, the historical Aquarama yacht tender is on display at the Montecarlo exhibition ‘Lo Stile Italiano’ as a symbol of the Italian art and design.
Riva, a brand of the Ferretti Group, has taken part in two important events in December: from the 8th till the 12th its new jewel, Riva Iseo yacht tender, was presented at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam, while on the 9th December the exhibition “Lo Stile Italiano – arte e design” started in Monaco that will finish on the 2nd January, during which Riva is celebrated as an icon of Italian style and design through one of its bestknown models, Aquarama yacht, on display. The exhibition organised by the Italian Embassy in the Principality of Monaco is to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy, under the aegis of the President of the Italian Republic and of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.
Following from the stylish premieres last September in Cannes and October in Genoa, the motor yacht Iseo has been displayed at the most exclusive and classy trade fair held in the Netherlands, inside the stand of the local dealer Lengers Yacht. The Millionaire Fair is an unmissable event for all design and style enthusiasts and a reference for the luxury market in Northern Europe.
The new model Riva Iseo yacht is the noble heir of a centuries-old history characterised by excellence and craftsmanship and is destined to become a must-have for those who love cruising on both lake and sea as well as for design enthusiasts. It is perfect for anyone wishing to complement their yacht with an exclusive tender that will never go unnoticed. The craft is the result of the ongoing cooperation between Officina Italiana Design, the exclusive designer of the entire Riva range, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology (Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre), and the team of architects and designers at Centro Stile Ferretti group.
Moreover, Riva’s all-Italian style, design and craftsmanship simply had to be present at the exhibition Lo Stile Italiano, which is being held in Montecarlo to celebrate Italian ingenuity and its artistic expression in all sectors: art, industry, technology, fashion, cinema, architecture, photography, advertising, and more in general, in the Italian lifestyle.
Thus, amongst masterpieces by Boccioni and Depero, sculptures by Giovanni Romagnoli and Ettore Colla, paintings by Sironi, photographs by Carlo Mollino, advertising boards by Enrico Prampolini and Armando Testa, ceramic objects by Giò Ponti, and some of the most renowned Italian industrial brands – such as Ferrari and Piaggio -, the Italian art of boatbuilding is represented by the unmistakable flexuous lines of the Aquarama, which is considered, more than a boat, a true mahogany sculpture, the eternal symbol of the mythical Riva brand in the world.
Elected in the year 2000 as “the most beautiful boat of the century” by the readers of the prestigious magazine Boat International, the Aquarama yacht is the surpassing embodiment of world-class boatbuilding, in which every detail, up to the tiniest screw, is devoted the utmost care and dedication.
Riva’s history deepens its history in the history of Italy. Indeed, the Riva family – a family of shipwrights – started its activity in the mid-nineteenth century; one century later, Carlo Riva established the name “Riva” in the Olympus of boatbuilding, turning it into a synonym of Italian excellence in the world.
