RMK Marine has teamed with Omega Architects on a new 50-metre motor yacht concept that was designed to offer the ultimate connection to the ocean. The design of the RMK 50 superyacht focuses on gradual transitions and fluid lines in order to ensure that the meeting point of the yacht and water is barely visible.

Still a the conceptual stage the 50m motor yacht RMK 50 features an extensive 13m-long open aft deck that stretches to the swim platform. Omega Architects has designed the entire main deck as a sequence of connecting spaces that end at the waterline’s swim platform, rather than designing them to define separate areas.
The RMK 50 yacht design offers a modern and masculine silhouette. The superstructure slopes down from the Wheelhouse deck to meet with the aft overhang, creating a unique semi-enclosed aft deck, offering privacy and protection yet still having a connection to the elements.
The saloon of the RMK 50 design connects effortlessly with the aft-deck area by including a bar at the far end and by placing the seating area of the saloon aft as well. This has created an open air feel to the interior by blurring the boundaries between the outside and inside.
The 50m superyacht concept will offer two variations for the interior. Option one will feature a VIP cabin with an en suite sky lounge, while the other will provide a large and luxurious owner’s suite and aft deck.
Omega Architects’ Frank Laupman stated, “We were invited to RMK due to our reputation for creating elegant, sleek, superfunctional yachts. In answering the request to given to us to design a new 50-metre yacht for the shipyard, we are aiming to reinvent our legacy of successes and give different meaning to a relationship with the sea for RMK.”
The RMK 50 motor yacht design was released at the 20th Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) held from 22-25 September 2010 at Port Hercules, Monaco.
