Having increased their capacity in recent years as well as gained plenty of experience, RMK Marine now provide their customers with world class composite capabilities at their Istanbul shipyard. The well known Turkish builder will be present at the Monaco Yacht Show QC4 to discuss any requirements for new builds, concept projects, refits as well as repairs throughout the show. The company will also exhibit the 45m Ron Holland designed motor yacht Karia which is currently for sale. Karia superyacht will be showcased throughout the show on Quai de l’Hirondelle N19.
RMK Marine has built a series of different superyachts both custom one off composite yachts as well as those which are part of a series production yachts. Their specially built composite facility means that the team have the capability to work in all resin and fibre types using different processes.
When RMK Marine built the first sailing yacht Oyster 125, they set a world record for the largest single continuous infusion anywhere in the world at that time. Nearly 6.3 tonnes of resin flowed over approximately 4 hours, using one of the most technically advanced aerospace standard composite injection systems. This was developed to produce a consistent high strength to weight laminate to maximise durability, in a controlled and environmentally friendly process.
Composite yachts are then post cured in their 40m long extendable and specially designed post cure oven. The composite facility benefits from a 72m long workshop equipped to ensure that state of the art composites are available to clients.
With the increased capacity, RMK Marine is able to commence new build projects up to 50m in a relatively quick time, offering clients both exceptional quality and value.
