Rossinavi have announced that a 52m/171ft superyacht has been signed onto their books known as hull number FR039, or codenamed PROJECT FLORENTIA. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Giorgio & Stefano Vafiadis will create the exterior profile, and the interiors will be completed by Carlo Colombo and the A++ Design studio.
The spacious 700GT internal living areas are currently undisclosed. However, the Master suite will feature a central mirrored ring to ensure that every corner of the cabin receives plenty of light from both natural and man-made sources. In the communal spaces, the staircase will be another eye-catching feature that uses leather and wood in warm, neutral colors.
“FLORENTIA is positioned in a market for people who appreciate yachts with balanced lines and traditional boating,” said Rossinavi Chief Operating Officer Federico Rossi, also commenting that FLORENTIA will be the first of a new wave of yachts over 50m for the shipyard.
Superyacht FLORENTIA is expected for delivery in 2020. Once completed, FLORENTIA will sleep 12 guests and up to 32 crew. Her cruising speed will be a steady 13.5 knots. M/Y KING SHARK, a 70m/230ft superyacht also in construction, is due for launch in the same year.
