Royal Hakvoort have proudly announced the delivery of 61m (200’1″) superyacht ASIA as she left their shipyard in the Netherlands on 18th May 2024, having successfully completed her North Sea trials. The new owner worked closely with the shipyard and Moran Yachts to bring their vision to life.
He had this to say, “My wife and I enjoyed the entire process and Klaas Hakvoort and his brother Albert were a joy to work with. Moran Yacht and Ship have meticulous attention to detail, engineering, design and construction which has resulted in a vessel that my wife and I have dreamed about”.
Luxury yacht ASIA is a majestic superyacht with a raked bow, sleek exterior styling and generous exterior space. The layout was meticulously planned to maximise conviviality, beautifully matching the owner’s lifestyle.
Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design designed the interiors, creating living areas centred around the main staircase, wider passageways giving ease of movement for the owner and guests and a distinctive character and purpose. A host of amenities include a large gym on the bridge deck, spa and beauty salon including massage area and sauna plus beach club.
“The spread of function throughout ASIA was a key requirement set by this owner,” explains Paul Costerus, Lead Designer at Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. “They wanted to ensure each area was enjoyed and used at different times of the day and for different purposes. The deck spaces are also nice, open and very free. We liberated more aft deck space by building the exterior staircases into the superstructure.”
Superyacht ASIA is characterised by natural light with a profile punctuated by panoramic windows offering fabulous views from the two salons. The understated elegance and palette of vibrant and pastel colours create a striking design across the main salon and six ensuite staterooms – which can accommodate up to 12 guests. The suites are configured as two owner’s suites – one on the main deck and other on the dedicated owner’s deck – and four doubles on the lower deck with direct connection to the beach club. There is additional accommodation for the 18 crew members, broad companion ways and a well-equipped technical area.
The owner’s deck features a private sky lounge, his-and hers ensuites, an office and private decks forward and aft. There is also direct access from the suite to the foredeck, complete with a jacuzzi and casual lounge and dining area.
Powered by twin Caterpillar 3512E HD diesel engines, superyacht ASIA cruises at 13 knots and has a top speed of 15.3 knots and has impeccable fuel efficiency with an autonomous range of 4,800 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Superyacht ASIA has now embarked on her maiden voyage.
