Royal Huisman has announced its goal to produce the ultimate performance sloop that pushes the boundaries of modern design and technology, and the shipyard has revealed details on a 59.7m/196ft design known as PROJECT 404.
Cutting edge operating systems and rig technologies will produce new benchmarks for performance and efficiency, with naval architecture and an exterior design coming from Malcolm McKeon. Guests will also experience the utmost comfort during life on board with a wealth of original amenities at their fingertips, surrounded by the luscious interior design of French studio Liaigre. Royal Huisman will handle the in-house build and engineering, while the Integrated Rig Package will come from Southern Spars with Rondal producing the captive winches.
The hull will be built from Alustar Aluminium with a carbon composite superstructure designed to meet Lloyd’s Register MCA classification. The Cabin layout will sleep up to 12 guests and a crew of 10 for fast, efficient service and smooth operations while sailing.
Sailing yacht PROJECT 404 (HULL MM597) is expected for delivery in 2022.
