Royal Huisman has joined the International Council of Marine Industry Association (ICOMIA) Superyacht Refit Group. The Dutch company is principally known as a manufacturer of fine custom yachts, but the same standards of expertise and craftsmanship are equally accessible for superyacht refits through the Huisfit programme. Whether modern or classic, sail or motor, all the company’s refits benefit from their passion for perfection and are backed by almost 130 years of experience.
The work can be undertaken at the Royal Huisman yard in Vollenhove or at nearby deep water locations to suit the owner’s or captain’s preference and the requirements of the project.
A Huisfit is no ordinary refit. It assures a high level of enhancement, taking presentation, functionality, comfort and operation to leading-edge industry standards. A true investment in the pleasure of ownership and in the long term value of the yacht, a Huisfit is underpinned by Royal Huisman’s global reputation for quality and endorsed by appreciative owners and captains.
Huisfit provides a high level of reassurance as to the safety of owners, guests and crew, and the reliability of operations. As captains and owners are all too aware, “downtime” due to unexpected problems and repairs can be frustrating, disruptive and expensive. The safety and security of the yacht, its personnel and its contents, whether at Vollenhove or another refit location, is always a high priority for the Huisfit team.
Huisfit clients benefit from the exceptional infrastructure, service, and support for project managers and crew at its Vollenhove yard, which has the capacity to accommodate the majority of superyachts. Modern buildings, spacious external areas, thorough organization, tight financial controls and attractive working conditions all contribute to high quality outcomes. The Huisfit team also operates at strategic deep water locations nearby.
The ICOMIA Superyacht refit group is looking forward to working together with the Huisfit team to improve refit standards for the future and to share experience and knowledge going forward.
ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group members conform to a unique Code of Practice, which brings certainty to refit and eases the owner’s concerns on how their yacht’s refit will be managed and the quality that will be achieved. In addition, Refit Group members offer their clients a standard framework contract developed by prominent international marine lawyers.
