The owners of moorings at Marina Ibiza, together with some exclusive customers of Maserati Barcelona, will have an amazing opportunity to experience going sailing aboard Racing Yacht Maserati as well as test driving on the Italian firm’s extraordinary models, one of which is being showcased for the first time in Spain before the first models appear in the showrooms. This unique event will take place from 30th June to 1st July.
Marina Ibiza
Seven Maserati models in all will drive around Marina Ibiza. In addition to the GranCabrio Sport and the GranTurismo Sport, the two-seater Stradale and the GranCabrio will be on show in the Marina Ibiza Boulevard. Racing Yacht Maserati, a 21-metre maxi which in February set the first time-reference for the monohull category between Cádiz (Spain) and San Salvador (Bahamas), will be moored on Marina Ibiza’s main pontoon.
This fascinating experience will be led by advanced driving instructors and by the yacht’s racing crew, with support from Marina Ibiza’s team of professional sailors – so it promises success and excitement. Taking to the waves on board speedoptimized Maserati and test driving some of the Italian firm’s most iconic models will be as exciting as enjoying the facilities of the Mediterranean‘s most exclusive and modern harbour, whose Concierge Service will be available to guests. Racing Yacht Maserati: First to set a time-reference
Maserati is a spectacular 21-metre VOR70 (Volvo Ocean Race) yacht that previously participated under a different name in the 2008-2009 round-the-world Volvo Ocean Race. It features a carbon mast over 30 m. high and a canting keel. It has spent three months in dry dock shedding some 10 percent of its weight in a bid to become the fastest in the world. In February Giovanni Soldini skippered Maserati over the 3,884 nautical miles from Cádiz, Spain to San Salvador, Bahamas in under 11 days, setting the first North Atlantic Challenge time-reference in the monohull category.
