The inspiring 27.5m/90.22ft sailing yacht ALLSMOKE was launched in November 2016 by Southern Wind Shipyard, and after undergoing some extensive sea trials has been delivered to her lucky owner. A group of highly professional and famous designers worked on this project to achieve the highest standards in the construction of this superyacht. The result is: ALLSMOKE is a fast sailing yacht, designed both for fast cruising experience with family and friends, without compromising here capabilities to participate in the world’s popular superyacht regattas.
ALLSMOKE is a truly unique fully custom yacht in the Southern Winds’ fleet, with a focus on performance, flexible sailing setups, advanced design and superior construction and systems technology.
Marco Alberti, SWS General Manager and Technical Director, explained: “The devil is in the details, as the saying goes. The racing soul of the SW-RP90 forced us to push our weight saving approach without compromising on comfort and safety. The main innovations applied to the build are the use of Prepreg and Nomex for the deck and structures. The hull was infused on a single female mould with carbon fibre and epoxy resin skins over a Corecell foam core.”
Interior layout of ALLSMOKE was developed by Reichel/Pugh, while the interior styling is a work of Nauta Design. The designers created innovative styling while still maintaining ergonomics functioning with the structural and dimensional constraints due to the performance aspects of the yacht’s design.
A busy year ahead is planned for Southern Wind Shipyard, as there are SW96 #01 and SW105 #01 yachts scheduled for delivery in 2017, and SW96 #02 and SW105 #02 are scheduled for 2018.
