Sailing yacht GALMA has been launched, hitting the water for the first time at the weekend at a ceremony attended by Wally Yachts and Ferretti Group management plus the entire production team.
“The launch of this first semi-custom sail model since Wally became part of Ferretti Group in 2019 is a very significant moment for us,” says Stefano de Vivo, Wally Managing Director. “Not only does it coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary, but it also once again confirms how relevant the sailing superyacht sector is for Wally. We have always been leader in this segment, and we aim to continue anticipating market trends by creating yachts capable of becoming true benchmarks in both yachting and design”.
She is the first 33.42m (109’ 8”) wallywind110 and features naval architecture from Judel/lvrolijk & Co. and exterior and interior design from Santa Maria Magnolfi. The bright metallic paint across the all-carbon hull has hints of blue which changes tone with the light creating an extremely elegant profile.
“The thoughtful study of the wallywind110’s deck spaces has resulted in an 80 square meter cockpit, free of technical equipment (relocated to the stern), comparable to that of a sailing superyacht at least 60 meters long. The owner and their guests can relax on sofas, sunbeds, and seating. Not to mention the other two lounge areas located on the ‘sea terrace’ at the stern and on the foredeck.” explains Wally Founder and Chief Designer Luca Bassani.
Luxury yacht GALMA will be joined by the second wallywind110 hull which is currently under construction and the range will also include a wallywind130 and wallywind150.
