Design Unlimited has revealed details of the interior that it has developed for the ground-breaking new sailing yacht Infiniti 100S. With naval architecture by Hugh Welbourn and construction by Danish Yachts, Infiniti 100 S yacht uses the innovative Dynamic Stability System (DSS) to provide both performance as well as comfort. The first Infiniti 100S is currently under construction at Danish Yachts, scheduled for launch in 2014.
As befits a modern, composite performance yacht, the exterior features purposeful, curvaceous lines and Design Unlimited has carried these through into the interior. While retaining the modern, hi-tech feel Design Unlimited has adapted this theme to create a calm and welcoming environment within that is ideal for relaxation and socialising. Furthermore the taut and sweeping forms introduced in the coachroof and cockpit draw the eye in one continuous flow through the saloon forwards to the guest accommodation and ultimately to the master suite in the bow.
Entry into superyacht Infiniti 100 S is via the saloon, a generously proportioned space that includes the dining area and an integrated navigation and office area. Aft of this is the crew area plus the galley on the port side, while moving forward brings you to the guest lobby with one generous double cabin on either side, each with full en suite facilities including separate showers. The spacious master suite is positioned beyond the guest area, with its own lobby and separate bathroom and shower on the port side. All the cabins enjoy plenty of natural light thanks to the combination of hull portlights and overhead skylight hatches.
Interior features
Interiors by Design Unlimited contain many discrete features that contribute to the comfort and safety of those on board, as well as to the overall performance of the yacht. On the Infiniti 100S yacht these include elegant yet practical safety features including strategically placed hand rails wrapped in hi-tech materials that are pleasing to the touch as well as providing excellent grip.
In addition the two main seating groups within the saloon offer a choice of social configurations and the galley is fully equipped to cater for the needs of crew and guests both at sea and in harbour.
The attention to detail extends to features such as the wrap-over geometry of the seating materials to clad the adjacent horizontal surfaces and create a more luxurious feel, while an innovative lighting plan uses both natural and artificial light to accentuate the forms and details at any time of day or night.
The performance emphasis of luxury yacht Infiniti 100 S is preserved by the use of lightweight materials and fabrics combined with weight-saving features such as cantilevered seating and floating furniture. The overall result is a yacht that is innovative and highly distinctive, yet leaves guests feeling safe and comfortable.
