With her clean and easily driven hull lines drawn by Rob Humphreys, and detailed styling and engineering developed by the Oyster Design Team, the 25-metre luxury yacht Oyster 825 is certainly turning heads.
The attractions are many from brand pedigree, and the exceptional levels of customisation and lifelong customer care, to the actuality of the finely fitted and impeccably insulated interiors beneath deck and sail plans matched perfectly to sailing ambitions however adventurous. More Oysters have completed world circumnavigations than any other single brand.
Significantly with Oyster’s new twin-rudder configuration bringing max beam further aft and also lower in the hull, the Oyster 825 yacht’s internal volume is an astonishing 15 per cent up on her predecessor, the highly successful sailing yacht Oyster 82 of which 17 were built. With every jot of space above and below cabin sole minutely 3D modelled for optimal integration of ship’s systems, stowage and accommodation comforts, machinery noise is minimised but service access maximised, and all while achieving an unusually spacious primary arrangement of three private suites aft and, forward of the central elevated saloon, a clear separation of space for up to four professional crew to run the yacht discretely with minimal interruption to guests while still providing a ‘six-star’ service.
With the extreme levels of customisation Oyster offers, it is for the owner to choose how the interior is planned, and not just the timber grain, surface finishes and soft furnishings, the cabin plan itself. Systems include forced air ventilation for optimum climate control, high power diesel generator, water maker and extensive refrigeration. Electronics are to personal specification with recommendations to ease the way. And whether mood-lit electrically or simply by the expansive glazing with huge hullside Seascape windows, flush deck hatches, and panoramic saloon, the sense inside is always just right.
Easily capable of 250 miles per day, the Oyster 825 superyacht is a powerful, optionally carbon rigged yacht, yet one easily short-handed with the aid of joystick and hydraulic sail controls. Her spacious, ergonomically planned cockpit comfortably and safely separates guests from sail handling, and the wide areas of bulwark edged flush teak-laid deck fore and aft serve sunbathing and entertainment well. Decks are long, broad and unobstructed and Oyster’s fabulous trademark pushpit seats are just perfect also for watching this splendid yacht perform or just to enjoy the fun of others as they splash and play around the expansive boarding platform that folds out of the stern.
