At the moment in design for W-Class Yachts of Newport, Rhode Island, the new sailing yacht W.100′ concept is a beautiful modern classic sloop. The latest W.100 superyacht is a smaller sister to the recently developed luxury yacht W.123′. A larger W.135′ yacht is to follow.
These designs are in the spirit of the W.37′, W.46′ and W.76′ yacht models already sailing, of which multiple copies have been built, but in particular the sailing yacht W.76′, designed by Joel White.
The W.100′ yacht model has been designed to compete in classic yacht regattas such as the Eggemoggin Reach, Les Voiles de Saint Barth, Antigua Classic, the Bucket Series and for occasional cruising. She is the minimum size yacht to qualify for these events. The interior and deck layouts have been optimized for crew efficiency, comfort and accommodations.
The boats will be constructed of wood/epoxy at Front Street Shipyard of Belfast, Maine and in conjunction with both Rockport Marine and Brooklin Boat Yard.
