The Chinese shipyard IAG Yachts is pleased to start the new year of 2012 with the sale of the 135´ motor yacht King Baby, designed by Italian studio REDS. The 41m King Baby superyacht is a luxury custom made vessel with RINA Charter Class, sold to an American client. This sale is another great success, following an amazing year and some successful shows in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Fort Lauderdale last year, when IAG managed to sell their first two production models in 2011, the 127´ luxury yacht Primadonna to a buyer in Florida as well as the 100´ superyacht Electra to a buyer in China.
“I am extremely happy that we have sold a completely new model besides the two we have at present, it marks that IAG will have a new series production ” said Michael Chang, President of IAG Yachts.
“We’re continuing to hear big news that many American buyers are purchasing yachts almost impulsively at this size within the USA market” said Chang. “It’s been forecasted that America’s yachting culture is mature and recent success particularly within the region demonstrates this.”
The spacious RINA classed IAG 135 superyacht King Baby is built for charter, designed by REDS which is an outstanding Italian design company, and boasts 5 en-suite staterooms sleeping up to 12 guests. With the voluminous owner’s stateroom featuring groundbreaking headroom, a large main salon with dining area, a nice walk around deck on the sky lounge and a very open sun deck that features a large Spa Pool and bar area, the space on this yacht is unparalleled in any other design in its class.
According to the confirmation from the shipyard, the 41m luxury yacht King Baby will be delivered in 23 months to the client, and all the design works are currently being developed rapidly at the hands of IAG’s skilled design staff.
The shipyard reveals that the client is a quite experienced yachtsman who owns a 100 foot yacht at the present. Furthermore, the client enjoys being immersed in the design process, therefore, the final design of this first 135′ model will be reflected with many ideas from the client directly. The buyer’s expectations in IAG are very high and he is confident that IAG will meet his exacting requirements.
