Admiral Sail, a brand of The Italian Sea Group, is proud to announce the sale of the first 38m superyacht WAVE, beautifully designed by Philippe Briand. Sold in an in-house deal in early September, sailing yacht WAVE 38 will be the first Admiral Sail yacht entirely built in aluminium. Due to be delivered in early 2018, she will follow the delivery of the 76’ Admiral Sail yacht GIGRECA, delivered last year and set to be showcased at this week’s Monaco Yacht Show 2015.
According to Chairman of the Group and passionate sailor, Giovanni Costantino: “This new build will certainly bring a new soul in this market.”
Francesco Carbone, Vice Chairman and Sales Director, commented: “This sale clearly marks the focus of the Italian Sea Group on sailing superyachts which remain a niche but with interesting potential we cannot ignore.”
Currently under full engineering, super yacht WAVE 38 will feature carbon rig, lifting keel, captive reel systems for the all sail plan and generous volumes inside, including a crew quarter designed to be LY3 compliant. The all-new design incorporates a big open transom with terrace, transformer system, as well as private access to the owner’s cabin. On the main deck the central cockpit is lowered and almost at the same level of the main saloon; the cockpit is well protected by an integral hardtop with openings on the roof and windscreen. This area can be enclosed further with side sliding glasses, for long passages and sailing at night or with bad weather. Going forward, the deck is all flush and it hides a huge garage for tenders and toys.
Below deck, there are four lovely guest cabins, one of which is convertible. The engine room is one of the biggest in this category and can be found just below the deck saloon, with access from crew quarter.
The WAVE 38 yacht will be sloop rigged with removable staysail and furling system for the downwind sails.
The Wave Series is made up by the Wave 38, 48 and a 60 meter, all superbly penned by Philippe Briand.
