Heesen is thrilled to announce the sale of YN 17650 superyacht AKOYA (project name). A sistership to highly successful superyacht SATORI and luxury yacht MONACO WOLF, the striking AKOYA is a semi-displacement all-aluminium vessel, boasting distinctive streamlined structure designed by Omega Architects. She is scheduled for delivery in Summer 2016.
With her reverse sheer ‘pelican beak’ bow, superyacht AKOYA reflects the Heesen family look and feel. Continuous sheets of laminated triple glazing thermo-bonded to the superstructure on the main deck create a dynamic wall of seamless windows that complement the yacht’s flowing lines.
Spanning over four spacious decks, luxury yacht AKOYA features a generous foredeck as well as a huge 70 sqm sun deck. Shaded dining can be found on the upper deck aft terrace, while the multifunctional main deck aft combines with the salon to create amazing 25 sqm of entertaining space.
The interior design of AKOYA is by Italian designer Cristiano Gatto and the owner’s decorator. “The philosophy behind this project is that beauty makes you feel better and is a source of good thinking and positive attitude,” says Gatto.
AKOYA yacht can sleep up to 12 guests in six gorgeous staterooms. The master suite can be traditionally found forward on the main deck. Additional cabins are all positioned on the lower deck and include a full-beam VIP cabin with a generous en-suite bathroom, as well as two double and two twin cabins.
Announcing the great news about the sale of super yacht AKOYA Mark Cavendish says: “Heesen is delighted with this sale to a European client, Akoya is the fifth yacht in this very successful class. Our semi-custom yachts are the ideal platform for owners who like to design, personalise and enjoy their own yacht in less time.”
