The new Toy 47’ mega yacht tender is a lovely 14,4-metre boat, designed by acclaimed Nauta Yachts for the Italy-based Toy Marine yard. The boat has been highly appreciated by the market, with five units sold in less than two years, and the latest Toy 47′ luxury yacht tender hull #5 recently launched.
The project was commissioned by a Nauta repeat client to replace the tender for his sailing yacht. The Owner is used to spend his summer holidays in Greece and Turkey, sailing on his sloop in fleet with his friends on their respective yachts.
The requirements by the Owner included – of course – a very appealing design, based on the same Toy general design hints (a strong seagoing soul and a classic timeless elegance, based on a reinterpretation, in a more modern key, of the original lobster boats from Maine), still provided with some important design improvements, as the full-sheer fixed fender allowing Toy 47’ luxury yacht tender to become a real “connection boat” for bigger yachts.
Toy 47’ yacht tender exterior design expresses a very attractive combination, showing a modern superstructure still reminding lobster boat windows. It also features wide deck space and seamless access to the sea from a low deck level.
Toy 47’ superyacht tender is on other hands an all-round motorboat that can work as a fast commuter in front of a villa on the sea shore or even as a small cruiser for short range cruises along the coast. The large cockpit, the open transom, allowing for easily diving into the sea and returning on board, the comfortable dinette under the deckhouse, and a combination of layouts, featuring up to 2 double cabins, make Toy 47’ Tender a flexible motorboat for many uses and many seasons.
Toy Tender 47’ is powered by 2 x Cummins QSB 6,7 480 hp @3300 rpm combined either with ZF Zeus 3000 Pod drive system or with Hamilton HJ 322 Jet drive system.
Both systems allow each thrust to be independently varied as required, allowing smooth and accurate manoeuvrability, either sailing and docking.
This power plant provides impressive performances either in terms of top speed, up to 36 knots (Pod drive system) / 31 knots (Jet drive system), and consumption – only 110 l/h @ 27 knots (Pod drive system) / 24 knots (Jet drive system) cruising speed – allowing a 400 nm range, quite useful in any purpose of the boat.
This model has been successfully welcomed by customers, who bought five units in only two years, mostly thanks to the elegant and timeless lines of its hull and cabin and to the performance offered by an updated propulsion system.
