The popular Channel 7 Stage will come back to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) this year, with plenty of special guests. These will comprise personalities from 7 News, Creek to Coast, as well as My Kitchen Rules.
7 News Weather, Beach, Boating and Fishing expert Paul Burt is this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show ambassador who will host fishing tip presentations and a live weather cross during the Show.
One lucky winner will also get the opportunity to put his expert fishing tips into action with a deep sea fishing experience up for grabs with Paul Burt himself.
Foodie and fishing fanatics Sally Jenyns, Dean Miller and Scott Hillier from Creek to Coast will cook up a storm twice daily at 11.30am and 1.30pm, from Thursday May 22 to Sunday May 25.
Everyone’s favourite local MKR contestants, teachers Paul Bullpit and Blair Tonkin, will also be making guest appearances on Saturday and Sunday.
The Gold Coast surfer dads received a perfect 10 for their salt and pepper quail on their television cooking debut, and will no doubt have some great tips and experiences to share from their national on-air culinary journey.
Mulpha Sanctuary Cove head of events, Johan Hasser said the popular TV series contestants were sure to draw a crowd over the SCIBS weekend.
“We have a number of special guests at this year’s show, topped off with an exciting entertainment line up, which I’m sure is going to spice things up for our visitors,” he said.
“The fine food revolution is still rife on the Gold Coast and we’re thrilled to play host to some great local talent.
“Our very own Sanctuary Cove based magician Matt Hollywood will also be performing throughout the show program, so there’s lots to look forward to for the whole family.
“Every year we aim to provide something for everyone to enjoy, from boat lovers right through to families who are looking for a fun day out in the sun and to take advantage of the great atmosphere the Boat Show brings to The Marine Village.”
The Channel 7 stage will be located in the heart of the SCIBS action, in the busy Docks precinct of The Marine Village.
Sponsored by Club Marine and Maserati Euromarque Brisbane, SCIBS 2014 will run from May 22 to 25.
In 2014, SCIBS has partnered with Translink to offer free train travel to and from the 2014 Boat Show on all regular Queensland Rail City Network trains when users display a pre-purchased ticket to the event.
Translink will also run Free ‘Park ‘n’ Ride’ services for all self-drive visitors from Helensvale.
The 2014 Boat Show will showcase a wide variety of international boating brands, products and technologies on display alongside the superb backdrop of the award-winning Sanctuary Cove marina and The Marine Village.
Offering something for the whole family, SCIBS will also feature a full program of live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and seminars as well as a kids zone and Women on Water program throughout the four-day event.
Adult day passes start at $20, with concession passes available for seniors and students. Children under 18 are free.
