The leading Italian luxury yacht maker, Sanlorenzo, was awarded by the Italy-China Foundation (Fondazione Italia–Cina) as the Italian company that better valued the business opportunities of the emerging Chinese market. The prize was handed over during the 8th edition of the China Awards, which was held in Italy‘s Milan on November 28th, 2013.

Fondazione Italia–Cina (the organization that promotes economical and cultural exchanges between Italy and China) and MF/Milano Finanza (business and financial media) organized the China Awards 2013 in collaboration with the Italian Foreign Ministry, the Environment Ministry and both the Italian and Chinese Chambers of Commerce.
Sanlorenzo was awarded for the investments made in the emerging Chinese market during the last few years, through its sales network expansion strategy in the Far East, the improvement and the strengthening of local business agreements and through the direct presence in China. This led Sanlorenzo to achieve positive results such as the delivery of a 38-meter Sanlorenzo SD122 motoryacht, an upcoming delivery of a 46-meter Steel superyacht and the recent opening of a direct office in Hong Kong: Sanlorenzo China Holding Limited.

This new office represents an important reference point for the Italian shipyard in the Far East, with the aim to distribute the Italian-built Sanlorenzo motoryachts from 22 to 62 meters to the Great China market (China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan). A second Sanlorenzo showroom will soon open in Sanya, on Hainan island, one of the most important touristic Chinese destination and already core of the local yachting.
Sanlorenzo Spa represents an Italian company that successfully took the business opportunities of the Chinese market and, for this reason, the Italian shipyard was awarded in the “Top Investors in China” category, in the presence of 250 important entrepreneurs, vip guests, politicians and diplomats both from Italy and China.
