Sanlorenzo will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2018 and will be unveiling superyacht projects SL102 and SX72 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, due to take place from the 11th-16th of September.
Founded in 1958, Sanlorenzo has constructed over 750 luxury yachts tailored to individual clients and is currently third on the Global Order Book for twenty top builders of yachts over 24 meters, as published by Boat International magazine. Under the leadership of Chairman and CEO Massimo Perotti the company has seen rapid growth since 2005, with a turnover from €40 million to €300 million in 2017.
The Sanlorenzo Asymmetric SL102
To increase the on board space available to guests as well as increase the connection with the environment, Sanlorenzo designed the ASYMMETRIC SL102, which retains the outer deck on the starboard side but removes the port side one to reclaim 10m²/33ft²in the interior and up onto the flybridge.
Initial concept images show a sheltered main deck cockpit designed for alfresco dining and casual outdoor lounging, while the bow has broad sunpads and a C-shaped sofa with a raised table.
The flybridge features a retractable roof for letting in the sunshine while alfresco dining or simply relaxing together outdoors.
The Sanlorenzo SX72
Following on from the success of the SX88, where 13 units were sold at worldwide international yacht shows including Cannes, Florida and Düsseldorf, Sanlorenzo has developed the SX72 expedition crossover yacht. Zuccon designed the exterior styling while Piero Lissoni have created the interiors, focusing on providing guests with the greatest amount of space and an efficient layout.
Features carried over from the SX88 include:
- Large open spaces and extensive use of glazing
- Balanced aesthetics and functionality
- Wheelhouse located on the flybridge
- Bow section can be shaded with awning for alfresco dining and resting
- 18m²/59ft²beach club/swim platform
More details will be released at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
