Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has announced the launch of the first 57STEEL luxury yacht from its facilities at La Spezia.
Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project produced the exterior profile for the superyacht in a first for the designer for a yacht of such dimensions. The interiors from Studio Vickers of London were designed to the Owner’s preferences, creating a functional, warm and cosy environment.
Compared to other luxury yachts in this size category, the 57STEEL has an additional deck, placing the helm controls on its own deck instead of on the upper deck forward. This layout change has allowed for the creation of a private Owner’s deck complete with an Owner’s apartment and adjoining outside spaces. The full-beam VIP stateroom can be used as a second Owner’s suite and takes up the forward position on the main deck.
The main deck aft comes fitted with a glass-bottomed swimming pool, letting natural light filter through into the beach club below. Fold-down terraces further extend the beach club for entertaining beside the water while at anchor.
This 57STEEL is the first of four units sold, and Sanlorenzo is also working on another 21 luxury yachts ranging from 44m/144ft to 73m/240ft.
