The first hull of the new Sanlorenzo SL94 motor yacht series by Sanlorenzo will make her debut during the next Genoa Boat Show in October, and her worldwide première at the Yacht Club of Monaco on 23 September 2011.
The SL94 motor yacht series was inspired by the successful SL104 series which introduced an evolution in the San Lorenzo style. Like the SL104, the new SL94 yacht series boasts large windows and portholes offering a contemporary external profile and allowing plenty of natural light to penetrate the interior. The yacht also features a flybridge with hardtop as an option that is largely customizable with furniture and decoration and is tender‐free thanks to the presence of a large stern tender garage.
Designed by Francesco Paszkowski and the in-house team, the 28.60m SL94 superyacht is built in composite at the San Lorenzo Ameglia shipyard.
Sanlorenzo SL94 has an unmistakable Sanlorenzo line, summarizing elegance, volume balance and a good ratio between the superstructure and sleek black windows. The exterior lines distinctive elements are the rectangular portholes, wide windows at the main deck, the powerful uprights supporting the aft part of the flying bridge that can be painted in the same colour as the optional hard‐top. It is possible to order the yacht in two different versions: one with hard‐top, covering in part the flying bridge, and one with radar arch and a soft top.
The Sanlorenzo SL94 fly bridge is much roomier than similar sized yachts thanks in part to the fact that the tender is stored in the aft garage rather than on deck. The fly bridge is largely customizable and the glassed, transparent hand rail, finished with a teak top, allows an unlimited view of the surrounding panorama.
The most significant technical innovation of the yacht SL94, is the configuration of the stern in which the transom hides a roomy garage. The Technical Department succeeded in placing a 15’ (4,50 m) tender by beam, thanks to a clever moving system that allows to fit such a big tender and at the same time to maintain the two side stairways from the swimming platform to the main deck. Sanlorenzo chose this solution to maximize the interior volumes without forwarding the engine room. The swimming platform moves up and down to help to get on board after playing with the water toys.
The interior decoration of the first SL94 motor yacht was designed by Francesco Paszkowski. The owner selected a modern, sober style, enriched by a wide choice of materials. All the veneers are naturally and tri‐dimensionally treated: the bulkheads are in whitened and planned oak, while the wooden furniture is treated with a “fabric” effect. Panels are painted with metallic shade.
The large salon on the main deck is lightened by wide windows and is totally separated from the dining room by the staircase leading to the lower deck and by the day‐toilet, making the living area a more intimate area to relax.
The dining room separated from the salon by a double door, is equally an intimate space for the guests to dine.
The galley is forward of the dining room. The crew quarter is on the lower deck forward.
The lower deck has a classical layout accommodating eight guests in four cabins. The full beam owner’s cabin is located mid‐ship, with the VIP cabin forward and two twin‐bed guest cabins in the middle.
Two options are possible in the SL94 yachts engine room. The power can be granted by two 1,415 kW (1,890 HP) CAT C32 Acert, pushing her up to 27 kn top speed and 25kn cruising speed, or by two 1,630 kW (2,100 HP) MTU 16V 2000M92, for 29 kn top speed and a 26 kn cruising speed.
The first Sanlorenzo SL94 unit will make her debut during the next Genoa Boat Show in October, but she has her worldwide première at the Yacht Club of Monaco on 23 September
