Sealite is pleased to announce the company has been awarded ‘Australian Marine Industry Best Export Performance (Large Exporter)’ at this year’s Marine Industry Export Awards. The Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export Awards were announced recently at the AIMEX and Club Marine annual networking function in Sydney’s Darling Harbor.
On accepting the award, Sealite founder Jeff Procter commented, “It’s great to be recognised amongst some of Australia’s largest marine exporters. Our business has grown consistently over the past years, and our investments in product and manufacturing technologies are paving the way for an exciting future.”
With Australian manufacturing facing tough trading conditions, Sealite continues to excel in the international marketplace. The company has a strategic direction of re-investing into the business to develop and manufacture innovative products, and as such has grown to become one of the largest suppliers of marine navigation aids globally.
In addition to the Marine Industry Best Export Performance award, Sealite was one of three Australian Marine Exporters to win the award for ‘Most Innovative Marine Industry Exported Product’ for the development of the Apollo-155 long-range LED lantern. The product was first deployed in 2010 and is now in service in many locations around the world.
“Australia has always been known for the innovation and quality of our products and having 3 equal winners in the innovation category proves that innovation is one of the cornerstones to Australia’s success here and overseas,” AIMEX Chairman Alistair Murray commented.
