The Monaco Yacht Show 2022 will grow its exhibition offerings with the addition of the Sustainability Hub this September.
The Sustainability Hub will showcase companies specialising in innovative and proven technology designed to reduce the environmental effects of luxury yachts, from the build process through to ownership and charter. The exhibitors have been selected by the Water Revolution Foundation in collaboration with event organisers to ensure the quality of the products. The Sustainability Hub area will cover 200m²/2,153ft² within Darse Sud, the tent dedicated to nautical equipment and technology.
Since 2005 the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) has been promoting an eco-friendly approach, raising awareness of environmental issues in both local and international yachting communities.
The 2022 edition of MYS focuses on two core concepts to attract a new generation of yachting enthusiasts: ‘Education’ and ‘Seduction’. While the Sustainability Hub covers part of the ‘Education’ aspect, the ‘Seduction’ element can be found in the areas dedicated to yacht interior design and decoration at Parvis Piscine, the water toys, luxury cars and more at Quai Antoine Ier, and the opportunity to step aboard some of the luxury yachts on display for a first-hand experience of life on board.
MYS will be the public debut of many vessels delivered earlier this year, for new-to-charter yachts and the latest models from prominent shipyards. The top 10 largest superyachts by length attending the show are:
- AHPO (Lürssen, 115.1m/377.7ft)
- SOARING (Abeking & Rasmussen, 68.2m/224ft)
- FB270 (Benetti, 65m/213ft)
- RIO (CRN, 62m/203ft)
