Dalian – an inaugural yachting event, which is expected to host a total number of 75 luxury yachts, China‘s first Beach Polo tournament, as well as amazing Marine Challenge events. SO! Dalian will take place at Dalian’s East Port Marina, representing one of North China’s best yachting facilities, and will run from July 3 to 6, 2014.
SO! DALIAN brings an exciting sports culture and marine lifestyle event to Dalian, China’s port city already world-renowned for the World Economic Forum that it has hosted every two years since 2007. The event will showcase China’s first ever 3 on 3 Beach Polo Tournament as well as an invitational Golf competition. As the city of Dalian prepares to host the SO! According to a Dalian Statistics Bureau report on January 30, 2013, the city received close to 50 million tourists from home and abroad in 2012, increasing 13 percent from the previous year. This influx of visitors is expected to continue since the implementation of the visa-free policy, allowing travelers from 45 countries with a flight and visa to a third country the chance to enjoy a 72-hour visa-free stay in China.
Furthermore, as a major city and seaport on the southern tip of Liaoning peninsula, Dalian boasts multiple beaches and plays an important role in modern history which make it a popular destination among a diverse set of tourists and travelers.
