In partnership with the Federation of Nautical Industries, Reed Exhibitions France is delighted to announce the appointment of Sylvie Ernoult as the new Show Manager of the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes, the first on-water boat show in Europe. The appointment is effective immediately.
As part of her new role, Sylvie’s responsibilities include the operational management of the 2013 Cannes Boat Show, along with development of a medium and long term strategy for the Festival. She will report to Alain Pichavant, Director of the Sport and Leisure Division at Reed Expositions.
Jean-Daniel Compain, General Manager of the Culture, Luxury and Leisure Division at Reed Exhibitions welcomes the arrival of Sylvie Ernoult at the head of the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes. ” Sylvie has a very good knowledge of trade relations in the luxury sector, as well as internationally. She has experience in establishing effective business development strategies and her appointment as Show Manager demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our leadership in the competitive world of boat shows and to developing the show’s reputation on an international level.”
Sylvie Ernoult began her career in 1985 starting first in the maritime sector, then moving to tourism. In 1992, she joined Stardust, where over the course of 10 years she held several positions between France and the United States and thus made her first steps into the world of yachting. In 1998, she was brought in to oversee the merger of the American subsidiary when Stardust was acquired by Sunsail. She took the helm of Stardust Platinum where, whilst overseeing the construction of the yachts, she also launched a new programme of luxury cruises to the European and American markets.
Sylvie Ernoult then continued her career as Head of Sales for French cruise company Festival Croisieres France, before joining the luxury hotel sector, first within the Taittinger group and then within international boutique hotel group “Exclusive Hotels”.
In 2010, Sylvie joined the Club Med group and more specifically the “Club Med Villas and Chalets” section, where she held the position of Head of Real Estate.
