Australian-based Silver Yachts has provided current construction details on what will become the yard’s flagship vessel: 85m/279ft ‘SILVER LOFT’.
Designed by Espen Oeino in collaboration with shipyard owner Guido Krass, explorer yacht SILVER LOFT features a vast main deck aft which can be used as a touch-n-go helipad, as an entertainment venue or sunbathing area. Currently the main deck and upper deck are being fitted and the interior design will be completed by Vain Interiors, who have worked with Silver Yachts on other builds in the past.
The exterior teak decks are currently being installed and painting of the hull will begin once fairing is fully complete. As of yet, few details have been released regarding the on board amenities, however the sundeck will feature an 8-person Jacuzzi and there will also be a sauna on board.
The accommodation is designed to sleep guests across 8 luxurious cabins: 1 Owner’s suite, 3 VIP staterooms, 1 double cabin and 3 twin cabins, 2 of which will contain Pullman berths. The crew will sleep across 6 double cabins and 5 single cabins, plus the Captain’s cabin.
2 x mtu 16V 4000 M90 engines will provide a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. At a reduced speed of 14 knots, luxury yacht SILVER LOFT is capable of a range of 6,000 nautical miles.
Motor yacht SILVER LOFT is expected for delivery in late 2018.
