A new dedicated Singapore superyacht show and ICOMIA’s 2011 World Marina Conference are both to be held in Singapore in the first half of next year.
The modern city of Singapore sits at the heart of Asia and provides a perfect venue for these events. Asia represents a budding boating market and in many locations is only restricted by the lack of marina development. In the last few years Asia has taken to the water and key yachting spots such as Phuket, Hong Kong and Singapore are already at berthing capacity meaning new marinas must come on stream soon.
The new Singapore Yacht Show will be held from April 8-10 2011 at the One 15 Marina Club on Sentosa Island.

“The show will be South East Asia’s most important and exclusive yachting event,” says Andy Treadwell, managing director of IYG, which is organising the event. He believes that — with Singapore’s target of reaching 200 superyacht visits by 2015 — the new show will highlight the country’s “important maritime position and rapidly expanding plans for waterfront development.”

The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2011
The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2011 will be held May on 10-12. It is also organised by IYG — in association with the ICOMIA Marinas Committee and Singapore Boating Industry Association.
