Yesterday, Sunday, April 26, saw the 2015 Singapore Yacht Show come to an end at ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove, a beautiful Singapore yacht charter destination, nestled in Southeast Asia. Representing the largest yachting, boating and luxury lifestyle event in Asia, this year’s four-day Show, attended by plenty of serious buyers and quality visitors, has been the best ever despite the poor weather.
“The presence and enthusiasm of serious buyers and HNWIs was felt strongly at this year’s show, with most exhibitors already committing to return next year with a bigger and better presence. Obviously the heavy rain every day was very disappointing, but we are happy to hear that this has clearly not impacted the calibre of the visitors or the overall satisfaction of our exhibitors,” commented Andy Treadwell, Managing Director of Singapore Yacht Events, the owner of the show.
All the major yachting and boating brands were very satisfied with the Show. During the event, Simpson Marine signed a record number of signed contracts, including an Azimut 80 yacht and two Lagoon 630s, which made its Asian premiere at the Show.
The highlights of the Show included the presence of the 75,5m charter yacht Anastasia, the largest vessel displayed at the show priced at more than $110m, as well as the 69-metre Australian-built charter yacht Saluzi, the largest permanently based yacht available for superyacht charter in Asia.
The Show ended on a high note at the Exhibitors’ and Sponsors’ Closing Party, which was hosted by all three floors of ONE°15 Marina Club’s Iconic Tower.
