Being held at ONE°15 Marina Club, the first two days of this year’s Singapore Yacht Show were attended by a steady stream of high profile visitors, and exhibitors say they expect healthy sales this weekend.
The past two days have seen a lively grand opening, a glamorous gala dinner at the W Singapore – Sentosa Cove and VIP parties aboard yachts in the evenings.
Buyers, brokers, exhibitors and VIPs enjoyed a fabulous evening at the gala preview on Thursday night, during which the prestigious Helm Singapore Yacht Show awards were presented to recognise the high quality of this year’s exhibitors.
Among the winners were motor yacht Tanvas, named best superyacht (motor), charter yacht Shamoun, named best superyacht (sailing), Princess Yachts, for the best brand collection, Wider Yachts, for best cutting edge design and sailing yacht Twizzle, which took the environmental award.
The vibrant atmosphere continues this weekend, with a fashion show of international resort wear brands today at 4pm at the Jax Coco Bar and Boujis DJ Miles Slater will be playing from 2pm today and tomorrow.
Managing director of Singapore Yacht Events, Andy Treadwell says, “whether you are a novice to yachting, or have been boating all your life, there truly is something for everyone at Singapore Yacht Show 2013”.
