The first two days of the currently running Singapore Yacht Show saw the exhibitors engage buyers in promising conversations as well as sign deals. High and ultra high net worth visitors are coming to the show, which exhibitors say represents the most important industry event in the region.
Many have engaged in serious conversations with high profile visitors from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and of course Singapore, and are optimistic the show will generate healthy sales.
Managing director of Singapore Yacht Events, Andy Treadwell said this year’s success came down the increased number and scope of the event’s exhibitors. “We are encompassing all the small boat industry as well as the superyachts that the show was initially known for specialising in,” he said.
“It’s important that Singapore has one show that really does the cover the global boating and yachting industry.”
Alan Pickering, owner of Promarine said: “This is probably the most important show in the region, and will continue to be so.”
Open from 2pm today (Saturday), Singapore Yacht Show is packed with luxury lifestyle attractions that complement the boating lifestyle. At 4pm today, Skin and Gnossem will present a fashion show featuring resort wear by international designers, while Miles Slater, one of the world’s most sought-after DJs plays at Jax Coco Bar.
Jax Coco, described by Vogue as “the chicest coconut water on the market”, and proudly supported by Stella McCartney and Elton John, is serving delicious refreshments throughout the weekend.
