The SW102 mini series has proven a popular design, and after recent victories from Seawave at the Rolex Capri International Regatta and the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, the hull’s reputation for excellent performance is set to grow further. Certified RINA Charter Class, Crossbow is sure to delight her new owners and any who sail aboard her. The following is a press release from Southern Wind.
PR: Southern Wind is proud to announce the delivery of SW102 #05 Crossbow.
This modern cruiser racer will be officially presented at the forthcoming Boat Shows.
In the wake of her sistership Seawave’s successes (first place at the Rolex Capri International Regatta and third place at the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in Porto Cervo), Southern Wind Shipyard is proud to announce the launch of Crossbow, the fifth hull in the successful SW102 mini-series and the third in the Raised Saloon version.
Thanks to the time-tested collaboration of Farr Yacht Design (naval architecture) and Nauta Design (concept, interior and exterior design), this newly launched 102’ is again proving to be the perfect expression of the yard’s ability to build comfortable and luxurious high performance yachts.
Notable features of Crossbow, which will make her the ideal cruising yacht, include a spacious flush deck, a tender garage for a 4, 2 meter dinghy and a mainsail captive winch. Combining the best features of both a Flush Deck and Deck Saloon configuration, the design of this SW102 Raised Saloon yacht blends a sleek deckhouse and uncluttered lines with higher ceilings and 270° panoramic windows. The interior follows Southern Wind Shipyard distinctive “owner’s cabin fore” layout and has a new lighter and brighter look. The yacht’s interiors see light oak paneling set off by walnut flooring and stainless steel details; upholstery is in an off white and coral red colour scheme. The main saloon and spacious studio are a single open space, subtly separated from the owner’s private area. The crew quarters aft feature a crew mess and working galley separated easily by just closing a door. She is built to RINA highest standards, as she is certified RINA Charter Class.
