The respected South African manufacturer, Southern Wind, is currently working on the hull number 3 of its popular model SW102 – sailing yacht Farfalla. Luxury yacht Farfalla is designed by the same trusted team that has penned plenty of other SW models: Nauta Yacht Design for the general design, deck and interior design as well as Farr Yacht Design for the naval architecture, sail plan and appendages.
SW102 superyacht Farfalla will be a Raised Saloon version, which features bright panoramic windows on the coach roof and an airy under-deck open saloon.
Farfalla yacht L.O.A will be actually 104 feet and it will be provided with a large garage, able to storage a tender of 4 mt. The yacht interior layout will be classical and in line with Southern Wind Shipyard philosophy, with the master’s cabin afore and the crew quarters in the aft.
“Compared to her sisters Almagores II yacht and superyacht Hevea, the new SW102 Farfalla will have a Raised Saloon deckhouse and a much ample garage. Nevertheless, we have been able to maintain a light displacement of 62 tons as their sisters,” says Ing. Willy Persico, founder and CEO of Southern Wind Shipyard.
The SW 102’ #3 luxury yacht Farfalla will be delivered to her owner in early summer 2014, whereas Southern Wind Shipyard will start the building of the new 102 hull #4 yacht this coming summer.
