Last weekend saw Williams Performance Tenders proudly play a host to the special 10 year anniversary event, in order to honor all of its staff as well as suppliers. These have been integral to the company’s amazing success and continuous growth.
Founded by brothers Mathew and John Hornsby in 2004, Williams has established itself as the world’s leading jet tender specialist, renowned for its range of Turbojet and Dieseljet models. The company now employs 45 staff at its Oxfordshire base and is supported by a global team of factory trained engineers. Williams produces up to 700 boats per year and had a turnover of £11.2M in 2013.
Held at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel, the event was a beautiful black and white affair, which was created as a thank you for the team. During the event Mathew and John, along with Chairman, Roy Parker honoured the whole workforce, as well as recognised some of the key members of staff who have been with the company for the whole 10 years. Those recognised for their long-standing service included employees Julie Smith, Paul Clarke and Phil Seymour. Mathew and John’s mother, Joan Hornsby also received a special award at the event in recognition of her belief in their idea and the wholesome support she has given them over the years.
Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Performance Tenders, commented: “We were delighted with the event and that all of our employees and key suppliers were able to attend to help us celebrate this momentous occasion. Our team work very hard day-in, day-out and this gave us a great opportunity to reflect on our success over the past decade and thank everyone that has been a part of it with some great music, food and cake.
“We are certainly looking forward to what the next decade will bring and have a busy few months ahead with a number of international shows and events across the world, as well as the launch of a brand-new product this September that is really very exciting for us and our team.”
In its 10th year, Williams is enjoying a record order book and an increasing international presence, putting the company in a strong position for the future. The company has also seen increasing levels of business from volume sailboat manufacturers such as Hanse and Group Beneteau. Both these manufacturers, along with other key brands such as Princess and Sunseeker, have designed their garages specifically to fit a Williams tender, providing a glowing endorsement of the brand’s popularity and appeal.
