SP-High Modulus, the marine business of Gurit, will be attending the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show in the Darse Sud Tent, stand QS70, from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th September 2010, at Port Hercules, Monaco.
As the reliable technology partner in the super yacht market, SP-High Modulus offers boat builders a complete composite solution that combines SP-High Modulus’ industry-leading composite technologies and in-house engineering expertise. An integral element of some of the most exciting and innovative boats on the water today, SP-High Modulus offers a complete partnership to designers, project managers and boatyards to maximise the potential of their boat designs.
The new marine Corecell™ M-Foam, which has been developed to deliver one foam product for all marine applications, will be promoted during the show. It provides a combination of high shear strength, low weight and high elongation, low resin uptake for infusion processes and high-temperature stability for prepreg processes in one cost-effective offering. Corecell™ M-Foam has recently been type-approved by Bureau Veritas and Registro Italinano Navale (RINA). These compliment the earlier accreditations by three awarding organisations including ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. (ABS QE), Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and Germanischer Lloyd (GL).
The high-performance marine adhesive Spabond 540 will also be promoted as an ideal product for bonding large polyester and epoxy glass reinforced plastic structures. With its extended working times, exceptional toughness and high strength, it has been designed to bond stringers/bulkheads, frames and hull-to-deck joints on medium to large production boats.
SP-High Modulus representatives are available during the Monaco Yacht Show, to provide further information and samples.
