The new Corsair 32 yacht tender by Chris-Craft was honoured with top prize for Best Sport Boat at this year’s Shanghai International Boat Show in Shanghai, China. It was officially presented at the 4th annual Asian Marine & Boating Awards Gala Dinner, taking place at the Intercontinental Expo Hotel in Pudong, in Shanghai.
The Chris-Craft Corsair 32 superyacht tender won Best Sport Boat in one of the largest categories, beating out competitors such as the Riva Iseo 27 yacht tender. The Shanghai International Boat Show is the largest boat show in Asia with over 300 brands of boats showcased during the four day event from April 11-14, 2011.
In attendance to accept the award was Chris-Craft Chairman, Stephen Julius and Chris-Craft Dealer, Xiamen Blue Ocean Yachts CEO, Tina Wu and Marketing Director, Elena Wang. Chris-Craft Chairman, Stephen Julius said; “It is fabulous to be recognized in this dynamic and important market. The Corsair line carries the main DNA of the legendary Chris-Craft brand. The Corsair 32 superyacht tender is well-suited to accommodate overnight excursions but is also built for day cruising and quick turns around the bay before a champagne sunset.
Corsair 32 owners can choose from a multitude of exterior options including custom paint colors such as the new Cashmere Metallic, (shown) “We are very excited about our new custom color offerings for 2013, which include the ability to please the discerning Chris-Craft customer, by building the boat to their exact specifications and we do this, all in-house and to the customer’s specifications,” said Steve Heese. The Corsair 32 is also available in three Heritage Edition Teak options with a choice of natural or varnished (shown) teak finishes as well as black or the new blonde, teak caulking.
The choices and luxury appointments don’t end there. A skylight runs the entire length of the forward deck and is flanked by teak to allow for maximum natural light into the forward salon. The luxury interior cabin of the 32 yacht tender comes with a choice of cherry or walnut cabinetry to compliment the interior upholstery and seating, which is available in three color combinations. The galley package adds a stove and microwave, to the already well appointed salon with standard refrigerator and a cabin that sleeps two and also comes with a standard 22″ flat-screen TV. The full head with shower, solid surface countertops and also sporting the classic Chris-Craft teak appointments.
Moving topside, a 10’2″ beam hosts a spacious cockpit with a double Captain’s helm chair on the starboard side, with stainless steel accent rails and matching single companion chair on the port side. Custom stainless steel windshield and perforated dash with custom Chris-Craft gauges are standard on this model. Moving aft, guests are treated to large u-shaped seating with aft facing lounges on the port and starboard side with a standard cockpit refrigerator located under the port seating.
A concealed teak cockpit table, conveniently stores under the teak step-through under the seat fore of the motor hatch, at the ready for entertaining. The spacious aft sunpad will accommodate multiple sunbathers and also includes a teak walk-thru located under the removable sunpad cushions. The classic Chris-Craft tumblehome design in the stern marries the aft styling to a large teak swim platform complete with hot and cold transom shower and easily accessible stowaway swim ladder and convenient retractable grab rail for your ease of entry from the sea.
Base price with twin Volvo 5.7 GXi (300) is $244,359.
