Diana Scott from Sterling/Scott unveils two beautiful yacht tender designs, the Limo Tender and the Sports tender designed after being approached by Nick Edmiston. Both of the designs are inspired by the 50ft Gelyce launches built in early 20’s.
The long slender bow design of the original launch made it perfect for slicing through any chop with the greatest of ease. This is the case again with the 16.5 Sterling Scott Sports Tender and Sterling Scott Limo Tender that both Edmiston and S/S are proud to unveil.
Construction has now changed from being double skin planking and multi stringer from the 1920’s to the most advanced in lightweight GRP materials. The charming S/S Limo tender and the S/S Sports yacht tender layouts are varied but both have a 16.5m length & a 4m beam. With compact 400 HP engines the tenders cruise a comfortable 20knots.
Exterior hull paint finishes have been chosen to reflect the fun lifestyle of the famous French Riviera in Cote d’azure pastel colours de la mer. All the exterior trimmings are in polished s/steel and brass with teak decking leather interior and polished timber interior finishes.

There is a swim deck aft, a side walk passage and side stairs for guest entrance, forward is a large sunpad that is lined with grab rails for extra security. The S/S Sports seats 12 guests in the open deck with a table for dining that is the removed for cruising comfort. Above the seating area is a removable bimini, behind this area is a large sunpad making it easy for all on board to interact.
Sterling Scott Limo yacht tender is designed as the ultimate fairing tender, transporting in luxurious air-conditioned comfort the Owner and his guest dockside to their Yacht. The S/S Limo can carry luggage via a top hatch, or store fresh produce in the forward cold store. Guest enter via the aft stairs which is designed for comfort of access, crew also have a grab rail forward which raises for ease of getting them on and off the tender.
