Wednesday, June 18, 2014, saw the start of a new edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma where, once again, the call for participation was a success. Twenty-five sailing superyachts, from all over the world, have gathered in the fabulous Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Palma de Mallorca in Spain to participate in this legendary competition that is already one of the oldest in Europe.
It is noteworthy the high level of preparation of teams as well as the boats, all of them tuned up to give the best possible performance. As a curiosity, it should be mentioned that among all participating boats, 85% of them have chosen STP Shipyard for their maintenance and refit over the past winter and spring, and at the same time is the place where part of the race has been taking place over the last past years.
Next Saturday 21st of June the Superyacht Cup it’s going to be open to the public between 9 and 13 hours for everyone who wants to see the participating vessels. And in the evening, after celebrating the last race, this high level competition will conclude positioning Mallorca as a leader in the marine industry worldwide.
