Designed by André Hoek and under construction at the Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts, this new 56-metre explorer yacht is to set new standards in the world of exploration vessels, combining 21st-century technology with the nostalgic looks of a classic steamship. Using CFD software, Hoek Design created beautiful interiors and elegant exterior styling, making the 56m Turquoise a truly unique and exceptional expedition superyacht.
Able to cruise around the Polar Regions as well as the Northwest Passage, she was built to ice- class, with outstanding sea keeping characteristics, powered by IMO Tier III diesel electric propulsion.
Plenty of storage has been designed under-deck and will host to larger tenders, innovative sitcom equipment in the domes that are integrated within the composite funnel, as well as a spacious boarding platform built into the hull structure with retractable stairs for comfortable boarding.
The interior boasts classic feature with details in teak, with styling by Hoek in collaboration with Vickers Studio for the interior decor. The interiors are designed to be homely and welcoming, combined with spacious open exterior decks for relaxation and socialising. Master Yachts Consultancy represent the owner and are managing the project. Delivery of the 56m Turquoise yacht is due in February 2019.
