The year 2015 marks an amazingly strong order book for the premier Dutch shipyard FEADSHIP, with five luxury superyachts hitting the water this year. In addition, the company is currently working on more than a dozen new projects.
The largest 2015 launch represents the imposing 101,5-metre mega yacht SYMPHONY (hull 808), recently delivered to her new Owner. The largest vessel ever built by the shipyard, followed by the 99m superyacht Madame GU, she is expected to be available for a mega yacht charter in the beautiful Mediterranean this summer.
With naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects and exterior design by Tim Heywood, superyacht SYMPHONY is the first FEADSHIP vessel that complies with the new Passenger Yacht Code, enabling her to accommodate up to 20 guests. In fact, she can comfortably sleep 16 -20 guests in supreme luxury. Among the many fine features aboard this breath-taking vessel belongs a helipad on the bow, a sizable pool on the aft main deck, a large gym, saunas and Jacuzzis, as well as three Pascoe International tenders and a wide range of water toys and watersports equipment.
FEADSHIP has also demonstrated its great interest in green technologies, marked by the launch of the eco-friendly and highly innovative 83,5m mega yacht SAVANNAH (hull 686) that has successfully hit the water earlier this year. She represents the first superyacht to feature an eco-friendly blend of single diesel engine, three gensets, batteries, propeller, azimuting thruster, as well as a streamlined hull shape. Further innovation comes in the form of a floating superstructure, an underwater lounge, the ‘open’ aft deck areas, and much more besides.
