The Dutch luxury yacht builder, StormYachts, attended the 2014 boot Dusseldorf. For the very first time this year, the company had a spot in Hall 6, with a completely redesigned stand on a substantially larger floor surface, providing much more space available to welcome the potential clients and prospects. And there were considerably more of them than in the past.
As the world’s largest indoor watersports exhibition, BOOT Düsseldorf is often considered a bellwether for the state of the industry. The 2014 show welcomed 248,600 visitors – 22,000 more than in 2013 – and Storm Yachts can safely say that the worst of the downturn affecting the yachting sector is now over. This was apparent in many different ways. There was a busy, upbeat mood among the exhibitors. And the visitors were in good spirits too, not only browsing but also buying.
There was also a lot happening at the Storm Yachts stand. For instance, several videos were being shown, while the outer face of the stand sported a “product wall”.
And Storm Yachts fascinated the passing visitors with their “Storm Table”: a centrally situated table in the form of the characteristic Storm S-78 yacht hull, with a built-in champagne bar as a fun gadget.
The table was often occupied, as its shape inspired many discussions on the effectiveness of the innovative FDHF hull – which offers both exceptional comfort and low fuel consumption.
Despite the buzz, exhibitions cannot really be considered a success unless the follow-up is properly taken care of. StormYachts is currently busy processing requests and making appointments with serious prospects.
BOOT Düsseldorf also saw the signing of the contract for the construction of an X-65 Wheelhouse. StormYachts are proud of this development and grateful for the trust shown by the client.
